@Anne_on_gd @KatieInBoston1 She may well have a DSD as she claims, but she seems strangely ignorant about the history and language. The term ‘non-intersex DSD condition’ is presumably used to separate herself from those with DSDs that might result in a more obviously sex-incongruent appearance. It implies that some people (unlike her) are hermaphrodites, or neither male or female. ‘Intersex’ does not, and never has, meant ‘somewhere between male and female’, which is why so many people with DSDs reject it.

@KatieInBoston1 ‘Intersex’ is an old-fashioned umbrella term for all DSDs. It does not denote a condition other than having a DSD. Many people with DSDs dislike the term ‘intersex’ precisely because of the way you’re abusing it here: to suggest that there are people who are neither male nor female. There are no human hermaphrodites. So-called ‘intersex’ people are men and women and many find it extremely insulting to be told they’re some kind of fusion, or third sex. How do I know this? Because I’ve had direct contact with men and women with DSDs expressing how offensive they find the attempts to use their (sometimes traumatic) health conditions to bolster gender ideology.

The Cass Report has revealed how very poor the evidence base is for transitioning children. We already know autistic, same-sex attracted and trauma-experienced youth are over-represented at gender clinics. Nevertheless, this man boasts about conducting zero psychological evaluation of children, proud that there's no 'battery of tests', explaining that he simply asks the child what their (unprovable, unfalsifiable) 'gender identity' is. The subtext is clear: unlike the worried parents, he's the cool dude who really gets what kids want. How can anyone still believe this won't come to be seen as the medical scandal of the century?
